I have been offering professional therapeutic massage full time since 2005. After my training in Calgary at Mount Royal I have continued to keep up to date on modalities in related soft tissue fields. I Love to learn More! It is important to me to maintain quality work with ongoing professional development courses. While I enjoy the more subtle work of Cranio for its base in the osteopathic sciences I also have a keen interest and eye for postural analysis. My years working at the Banff Centre exposed me to a broad range of professional performers, from opera singers to ballet divas, milliners and cobblers to classical musicians and authors. Serving artists is work I value.

Teaching & Coaching
Mount Royal University Instructor 2010 -12
I returned to Mount Royal to apply my skills teaching in Level One and Two Technical courses. It is in the technical courses where manual skills are applied. Here massage students are graded on the correct delivery of treatment, of course, but are more heavily graded, on their own use of proper biomechanics. Poor biomechanics equal poor grades, as there is no point heading off to a profession that will injure the practitioner. Having graded a few courses of fledgling RMTs on how to not overextended themselves I can offer insight into manual therapists habits that they may not see. If you are a manual practitioner who’s wrists or thumbs are blown, you are not applying mechanical force in a balanced way; I can help you correct that.
Master Class Postural Instructor
Orlando Classical Music Competition and Festival Limburg, Netherlands.
During the international professional musicians competition I offered postural coaching to all ensembles and other Master Instrument Instructors. See the video link above to see me in action there, and get a sense of what a music festival is all about.
Banff Centre Postural Clinics
While working at The Banff Centre I stuck up a professional relationship with the then Resident Director of the Classical Music program, Henk Guittart. Himself a consumate teacher, he invited me to deliver anatomy clinics to his programs music students in an effort to give them a deeper understanding of how their anatomy effects performance. I designed and delivered a series of lectures on best posture for performances of classicaI instrument and injury rehabilitation; though it can be applied to all instruments. This collaboration led me to accept his invitation to accept a position as Master Postural Coach at the 10 day Orlando festival held in southern Netherlands in 2015 under Henks direction.
